How It Started…
My work with clients and my podcast aimed at all investors centres around the ability to communicate complicated financial concepts in simple ways.
The culmination of my two-decade career in financial services is an episode I released on the Maven Money Personal Finance Podcast in late 2019.
Entitled “Five Minute Money Message”, it sums up everything I know about money in a short, easy-to-understand message.

The Notebook
Based on the response to the original podcast episode, it became obvious that the ideas in the “Five Minute Money Message” resonated with both professionals and also financial newcomers.
The original idea was ‘pitched’ to me late one night in a bar in Manchester, ‘Andy the five-minute money message is really good, you should make it into a book’. I wanted to bring this message to life. This became an 18-month journey filled with resistance. The result was worth the effort.
Partnering with a world-class illustrator has turned this into everything I wanted it to be.

How long until I receive it?
If you’re in the UK, expect it within one week ish of placing your order.
If you’re outside the UK, it’s anyone’s guess, but we’ll get it shipped asap.
Why is it so expensive?
18 Months of planning and hefty professional illustrator fees means this was never going to be a cheap project. A small print run also increases the per-unit cost. I’m certainly not trying to make a fat profit, we’re going to be lucky if we cover the costs. If it’s too expensive for you, maybe this isn’t the book for you.
Will you be printing more?
Difficult to say - after this print run I’m looking forward to putting this on the shelf and turning my attention to other endeavours. I suggest you get your copy now. I may white-label the books for others firms if there’s enough demand. I want the message to spread wide and far,
What’s the best way of using it?
However you’d like. Make notes about the message, use it to keep a diary, or just daily work notes. I’d prefer this to be used rather than to gather dust on your shelf. Internalise the messages.
